It’s all about the dogs, baby. My dog was not my “pet,” he was my dog child. I’m not the only one who has a tight emotional bond with my pets, so I completely understand that deciding to have a memorial sculpture made of your fur baby can be emotional if they have already passed away. When meeting your dog to take measurements and get a feel for his or her personality isn’t a possibility, I can work from owner photographs. I love to hear pet parents tell me stories about their feline and canine children and it helps me to feel like I know them while making the sculpture.
